Critical Analysis

Twitter is a social media that allows you to follow your friends and your favorite athletes and or favorite people who have a twitter account. Twitter allows all users to “Tweet” and or share their opinion with all of the people that follow them Each Tweet is 140 characters long. You can discover a lot in a little space. You can see photos, videos and conversations directly in Tweets to get the whole story at a glance, and all in one place.

Twitter from the perspective of a business is to connect the businesses to customers. Businesses use Twitter to quickly share information with people interested in their products and services, and build relationships with customers, partners and influencers. Twitter offers businesses an easy way to reach an engaged audience. They also use it to tell customers about products and to get information to see what they need to see if they can fill all of the peoples needs.

            Twitter from the social point of view is that twitter is used for telling your peers about what you feel about something or what you are doing. Now with programs like Twitter Ads for Good offer a way for non-profit organizations to promote their efforts the same way as businesses can. As more community-centric organizations join the platform, citizens will increasingly engage with the efforts taking place to move their community forward. The negative side of the social part of twitter is that every time you tweet anyone can access those tweets and when you use a hash tag the people that are linked to that hash tag will follow you.

            For the Entertainment part of this the entertainers will send out tweets that they feel are appealing to their followers so that their followers will like them. They can watch or want to go and see their show or act. The downfall to this is that it may not always get to all of their fans because lots of users don’t have a twitter.

The news part of twitter is that the media and news crews can announce For example, many kids recently learned about Joseph Koney over twitter. The news of his actions spread through Twitter like wildfire and people became aware of his travesties instantly. People can be constantly informed of what is going on around the world because of Twitter. Some downsides to news on twitter are that it cannot be the only form of information because not everyone has twitter.         

Twitter can be used recreationally by people who want to follow things that interest them. For example, I follow the Giants because I like them, however, I do not interact with them. Some negatives can be that the may be too much information that it becomes a hassle.
